IMPEX presents the Goliath

Our T40 & T50 machines stand out due to an excellent power-to-weight ratio; the performance values are very high in view of the weight for a standing-tree-harvester. So the machine does not have to be dismantled for transport in many cases. However, this sometimes is not enough — because of weight limits, difficult road conditions or limited availability of transport vehicles.

The Goliath offers the solution: the Goliath can take the rear weight and harvester head of our Hannibal T50 and T40 machines; by separately transporting these machine components roughly 10 tons of transport weight can be saved.

To this end, the Goliath has a device which lifts the rear weight of the Hannibal off the machine, and also features a precisely-fitting location on which the head can be stowed and securely lashed. Unlike other solutions, the Goliath system is perfectly matched to the Hannibal standing-tree-harvester machines from IMPEX. The pick-up and mounting points for the weight and harvester head — both on the harvester and on the Goliath — are optimized for quick and secure assembly and disassembly.

As a result the machine including loading or unloading is ready for operation in significantly under one hour, or ready for departure on the low-loader. For the Goliath no special transport vehicles or trucks need to be purchased that are expensive to maintain — the Goliath with trailer can be moved by any available truck or tractor.
