25 Years of IMPEX – District Administrator Laumer Pays Tribute

As part of a company visit, District Administrator Josef Laumer congratulated IMPEX Forstmaschinen GmbH on its 25th anniversary. He described the firm as a prime example of the economic diversity that drives the Straubing-Bogen region.

 

During a guided tour, Operations Manager Florian Ströbl, Josef Brunner, and Beate Heimerl showcased the latest developments in the “Hannibal” harvester series. These machines exemplify efficient, modern timber harvesting — and are now in use across the globe.

 

Discussions also touched on transport permits for large machinery, bureaucratic challenges, and the current pressures facing the forestry industry. The District Administrator emphasized the importance of supporting regional companies and ensuring that their concerns are reflected in political decisions.
