Visit from Rainer and Zellmeier

„No Longer an Axe in the Forest” – Political Delegation Visits IMPEX

During a plant tour, a delegation led by Member of the Bundestag Alois Rainer and Bavarian State Parliament Member Josef Zellmeier gained firsthand insights into IMPEX’s current developments. Among the highlights was the nearly completed Hannibal T50 harvester.

The Hannibal T50 stands out for its exceptional stability, extended reach, and highly soil-friendly operation — qualities that are becoming increasingly essential in today’s forests. Operations Manager Florian Ströbl and Beate Heimerl presented the machine’s technical features and explained the ecological benefits of standing-tree harvesting.

In a follow-up discussion, participants addressed issues such as bureaucratic hurdles, transport logistics for large-scale machinery, and rising raw material costs. The conversation made it clear: modern forestry no longer relies on “axes in the forest,” but on responsible, precision-engineered technology.

The visit underscored the importance of ongoing dialogue between policymakers and the forestry sector — particularly in a time when forest transformation and climate action are front and center.
